I went to Judy when I first got to Savannah, when a certain well establish, portly hair stylist with his own self-named salon butchered my short pixie cut. She totally cleaned up the cut and made is super adorable. My hair is very straight and can be poufy when short but she shaped it beautifully. I get compliments constantly. Judy is wonderful to chat with and always cheers me up. I also love love love that she's really down to earth and doesn't pressure me about doing my color- i'm totally willing to shell out 55 bucks for such a great haircut, but i can' really afford to get it colored all the time. Anyway, I highly recommend her to everyone- she gives me the best haircuts i've had in ages.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the talents of Ms. Judy Mullen.I moved to Savannah a few months ago and was desperately searching for someone who could make my hair look good. I have very difficult thick hair that is naturally very dark auburn. I went to a hairdreser at home that knew my hair and was careful not to ruin it by monthly conditioning and watching it closely. I was sure that I would go to someone who would over bleach and make it fall out in chunks when i had the great luck of running across this website. I stumbled upon this editorial from another client. upon visiting the Colorboxx and meeting Judy Mullen I know why, she is very skilled at color, and a terrific stylist. she made me feel most comfortable and did wonders with my hair. The salon is very trendy and cool and Judy is a wonderful hairdresser and a great person! i would recommend Judy to anyone searching for a hairdresser in Savannah !!!!!

I am the owner of the COlorBoxx Salon. I was here the day the perm was given. I a firm believer in the client is always right but this is a false statement. Judy did a beautiful perm even though the client dictated each step she made. She seemed unhappy from the moment she walked in the door. Judy stated that she would gladly redo it aftera proper calming period for the hair to recover. Ask any of Judy's clients or coworkers , she cares about good customer service and a good hair service. The client is mistaken in this case and landerous remarks about a hardworking person is unfair and in bad taste.

I do not reccomend this salon to anyone. I read her reviews, got excited, and went to her salon asking for a spiral perm and ended up with WAVY HAIR after being charged a full $220 after I let her know how dissatisfied I was with the outcome of the perm, my hair looked better before I went to her salon. Oh and to top it off, she didn't ask to try to fix the situation and when she rang me up and charged me SO MUCH MONEY FOR THE HAIR DO THAT I WAS NOT SATISFIED with, then asked me if I wanted to leave her a tip. Not very professional due to the fact that she did not try to rectify the situation, and let me walk out of the door well aware of the fact that I was a dissatisfied customer. Oh AND it took her over 4 hours to do a perm that usually only takes about 2 and a 1/2. She was too busy talking and showing me innapropriate pictures of her boyfriend, that she failed to do the job that I paid her so much to do. I do not recommend this woman's salong to ANYONE. I could have gotten a better perm out of a box.

Judy Mullen is fabulous!! This lady helped me out after I had went to several different salons in Savannah and they had horribly messed up my hair (B Street Salon will do this and charge you too much money!!). I was going from dark brown hair to blonde,which is hard, but can be done, thanks to Judy. All the previous hair dressers that I asked to do this wasted my time and money, turning my hair RED!!! A friend recommended Judy, and I went to her with no hope left. I had bleach blonde highlights with a nasty red base, it was awful. She fixed it and made my hair look fabulous, she put pretty blonde highlights in it with light brown lowlights, it looked amazing. She can fix anything! I wish I went to her originally so I would have not wasted so much money!!! from-Gina D.

Pros: comfortable atmosphere, great color specialists, great color (Goldwell), and skilled people

Cons: nothing, loved it!!!

If you are looking for someone with incredible knowledge and expertise about hair and skin care in general, look no further! Judy puts you right at ease immediately and uses her years of experience and knowledge about hair and skincare to solve any problems you might have. She can help you get the look you want no matter what shape your hair is in. It might take time to get that look depending on what your situation is now, but be patient and trust her!! I have always been skeptical about hair salons and think they just do what they want to do, but Judy really listens to her clients and I am very pleased with what she has done with my fine, limp hair. After only two visits to her, I am already getting compliments about how healthy and thicker my hair looks. She is a true artisan in her profession!

Pros: Location, atmosphere, attitude.

Cons: A little pricey but definitely worth it.

au contraire! Some have left unhappy with Judy's work to quickly find a stylist that pleases them with every style. I tried Judy's about two years ago and decided to try elsewhere. I quickly realized that Judy and I would never see "me" in the same light. That does not make her a bad person or bad hairdresser. I think she would be a fun person to "hang" with. It also does not make me impossible to please. Not everyone is going to be happy with the same salon. Everyone should be happy with their own hair and that means finding the right stylist for them. I don't care for some of the insults to Judy. That is uncalled for. However, this subtle bashing of the customers opinions is not in good taste, either. It makes it sound as if "Thou doeth protest too much".

I began using Judy many years ago for my nails, Lord I think it has been close to ten years by now. She was so wonderful, I began to use her for my hail. I am not the easiest customer when it comes to my hair, I let it go too long, I am always changing my mind when it coms to styles....Judy handles it like the pro she is. If the style works for me, she is fast to tell me, if it does not, she gently lets me know. She is the kind of lady you simply feel comfortable with. One because she is great at what she does and two because she honestly cares. Over the years I have had many friends switch to Judy and I can tell you, they feel the same way that I do. There is not another hairdresser in this town that I would allow to touch my hair and you can bet that 99.9% of Judy's customers feel the same. So, Judy.....just keep doing what you do best........take care of that large customer base that loves you and the heck with that 1% that could not be pleased in any form or fashion.

I have been using Judy for over 16 years and I have been well pleased. I have hard to cut hair; it's thick, curly and hard to manage. I spent years trying to find someone who could cut this mop and Judy has been the right person for me! Judy is able to cut and shape my hair so that I can manage it with just a quick run through in the morning. Judy will tell me, without hesitation, if she feels that the hair style or color I want won't work and I respect her opinion. She has always been pleasant and tired to make me feel like I mattered to her as a person not just a client. I would, have and will continue to recommended Judy to my friends and family.

Pros: Location, Location, Location - Friendly , Relaxing

Cons: None!!!

Judy Mullen has colored, cut and styled my hair and my three daughters for over 16 years. She also takes care of my diabetic husbands feet monthly, along with my nails. My three daughters rave about their color and fashionably cut hair styles. I would not return to Judy, if I wasn't 100 % completely satisfied with her services. She is always upbeat and professional to everyone she encounters. I have referred over 10 friends to Judy and all have become loyal clients. To find a great hair stylist is difficult to say the least, but I feel that I have found a gem in Judy. One of the qualities that Judy possess, is the fact that she will work you into her schedule even if it means that she will stay an additional hour or so. She is extremely accommodating.
