I recently found that the Pink House is now open for lunch!! I know of many people that have eaten there for dinner and have mainly commented on how great the house itself is and how wonderful the food tastes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the house was just as charming during the day, with seating both inside and outside, and the menu was perfect for lunch. I was not planning on ordering an appetizer for lunch, or dessert for that matter, but the waitress was wonderful in pairing items together and suggesting things that would be enough to fill me up but not overwhelming. My waitress was also more than willing to answer all of my questions about the menu. I recommend the Pink House not only for the food but for the fantastic service! I give this new venture of the Pink House a big thumbs up!

Pros: Great food, fast for lunch, service

Very dissapointing and not romantic, as touted. The upstairs room was old and not terribly asthetic. Although our table was one of two most requested according to a hostess, my view was through a tree to a parking garage. My wife at least had a peek at the square below. The wine list was shallow and resembled a supermarket selection. The "French" Pinot Noir (not Burgundy) was described as "French grapes bottled in California"? At $30 a bottle I thought I would take a chance. You would find this one stocked near the bottom shelf. Although asparagus were fresh and in season, the chef chose to use something not local, ditto the hericot vert, which our nervous waiter just loved to repeat over and over. Even though we had 2 waiters assigned to our table, my wife's she-crab soup arrived long before she was finished with her salad course. When the timing mistake was identified, the soup was removed and returned some 15 minutes later served just barely hot enough. The drizzling of sherry tableside was an unnecessary bit of showmanship. I recommend Harry's in St. Augustine here. My wife's mojito was "not the real deal" as described by the waiter (who was from Miami). Hmmm, perhaps he could enlighten the bartender? The crab cake was soggy and left uneaten. My grilled flounder with fruit chutney was adequate. The hostess reappeared and I let her know I was not happy at all with the service, mentioning that two other tables had eaten and departed. She removed the apps and the soup from the bill, and could not justify tipping our waitstaff. Avoid The OldePink House.

Thank goodness General Sherman didn't burn down Savannah, like he did Atlanta. The Old Pink House sits right on one of those famous squares, that dot the downtown historic district. Pale pink exterior, that invites one in for one of the most romantic dining spots anywhere. Fireplaces, especially good this time of year, antiques, and a very caring staff. Start with the best She-Crab soup you will ever have in your life, with just the right amount of Sherry. All the fresh seafood entree's are wonderful, especially the crab-cakes and seared scallops. You might want to dress casual-dressy, and you will fit right in. Be prepared to hear the ghost stories. And finish the night downstairs, in the small intimate bar. Old Pink House is one of the places that makes Savannah, special and romantic!

Pros: Wonderful Romantic, Historical Dining! Great Staff!

My now-fiance took me to this restaurant the night we got engaged. He was trying to set a romantic mood with not only the food, but the atmosphere. He requested I dress up and he wore a suit. I ended up wearing a cocktail dress. We were over-dressed. Most of the others in the restaurant were in casual clothes. However, that was the only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with. The dinner was absolutely enchanting. The staff was so friendly and kept us in a light mood. The flour-less chocolate cake (a personal favorite of ours) was amazing. It's something you should not miss out on. I can't remember exactly what we ate, but we had two different dinners and and appetizer. I tried his and he tried mine and it was all phenomonal. I can't wait to go back. The park across the road is also a bonus at dark!

Pros: food, service, lighting

Cons: parking, noise

My boyfriend and I went to the restaurant during our trip to Savannah November 8-12. The house really stands out along the square and has a lot of history, which we heard all about on our tour. We headed first to the bar downstairs, which was amazing. It was crowded, had a piano player, and a roaring fire. I ordered a cosmo, and being from the NY area, I didn't expect it to be as yummy and well-made as it was. The atmosphere in the bar is great and I would highly recommend going there before you eat. Upstairs, the place has a feeling of a house museum only it is a bustling restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. I started with the special salad, which was excellent. I then had the beef tenderloin and all of it was great. The food was delicious, the wine list was great, the service was friendly and fast. Our waitress told us about the ghosts she has seen there and tried to help us find them in the room. I can't say enough. Go! Enjoy! make reservations!

Pros: Romantic, Delicious food, great bar

Cons: None

My husband and I ate here while vacationing in Savannah and were very pleased. To begin with, this restaurant is (as the name suggests), located in a beautifully preserved historic home. This is nice for 2 reasons. 1: the fireplaces and paintings give it a very homey feel (not at all like your typical restaurant). And 2: the rooms of the home partition the tables nicely, giving you a bit of extra privacy. The only other people in our room were an older couple. The atmosphere was very serene and relaxed. Our waiter was unbelievable. Probably one of the most articulate and well-informed waiters Ive ever come across. And the food, which was certainly southern inspired, was excellent. It was a little bit pricey, but I would certainly recommend this place for a special evening.

Pros: service; food; ambience

The food was amazing - some of the best seafood I've ever had! I "don't like crab", but I very much liked the crab soup! The service was wonderful as well - very professional, yet personable as well. Easily on par with many of the restaurants I've been to in New York. Definitely want to make a reservation.

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere

Cons: Tight entryway

My husband and I both have been in the restaurant business, which does not make us experts, but...my husband is a bit of a connoiseur when it comes to food and did not enjoy the food here. I, on the other hand, am not a connoisseur and grew up with my mother's bland cooking. I will eat almost anything. With that said, not only was the food at The Olde Pink House not worth the money, but it was simply bland! Never been to fine dining I didn't like until this one! There are so many other nice restaurants in Savannah, including those in historic buildings, so PLEASE don't waste your money!

Pros: historic home, tavern

Cons: food, parking, value

The food at the Olde Pink House was quite possibly the best I have ever had or ever will have in a restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.
