I didn't have a terrible experience or an excellent experience. It was o.k.
Coming from an AWESOME stylist in my previous city, it's been really hard to fill that void.
At this salon I was always treated nicely by the stylist, staff and the owner.
I was not satisfied with the haircut I received because my stylist didn't really ask too many questions. I assumed she knew what I wanted from my vague description. This particular stylist cuts hair asymmetrically, so she is not your typical "sit-still-so-I-can-measure" type of stylist.
This technique worked the first time, and if you want something modern, this works well.
The second time I ended up with a straight chunk of hair around my face that stood out from the rest. I noticed this in the bathroom after I had paid and said goodbye, so it felt weird to sit down again and make her fix it. She took away too much, it's not like she can put it back :)
Overall the salon is very open, lots of light, nice cushions and decor.
One weird complain: I didn't like the brush my stylist used on me. Didn't feel soft and luxurious.
So, that's why I gave it 3 stars, because nothing horrible happened, but it didn't rock my world.
If anybody who works there is reading this, please put up a portfolio and stylist bios on the website, so it's easy to pick someone by their type of work and technique. Also, your printed pieces are very nice, you should mirror that on the website.
The products are really great, they smell good and left my hair feeling soft and shiny.
