I wont be back for the price there charging & have to pay for there filth as well but no one will do anything about it because the owners are from India isnt that just the american way.
THE WORST STAY EVER.
I'm sorry to say that I chose this hotel because of an online coupon with a good rate. The guy at the counter was well aware of my having a discount as i mentioned it when booking AND checking in. He still overcharged me and when i mentioned it reduced the rate....on paper- my bank account shows that he still charged me $60 more than the rate AND charged me TWICE!
Aside from this- the hotel has no elevator, the bathrooms were less than clean, the "free WiFi" is not free and some of our electrical outlets didn't even work.
A well-known, mid-priced national and international hotel chain where kids always stay free.. In Short Howard Johnson's story began in 1925, with an ice cream stand that soon became a chain of orange-roofed restaurants, and eventually motor lodges. Today, the hotels offer quality accommodations at value prices for families and business travelers. Comforts of Home amenities include in-room coffeemakers, complimentary weekday newspapers and more. Most locations offer Home Office rooms, with work desks and chairs, and Crayola Kids Rooms, with Crayola easels and accessories, plus a mini-fridge and microwave.
If you're looking for a hotel that is close to the beach, within walking distance to almost everything you'll want to do....HoJo's Tybee is the place. It's clean, quiet, and cheap for a few days on the island. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The beach is a short walk from the front door, all the major breakfast places are adjacent to the hotel, and "downtown" Tybee is 1 block away. There are some other hotels there...the Super 8 is, well "loud" and the Roadway is a tad dated. I was very happy with my experience there and would definitely go back.
