Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
Very Disappointed .... I have been a very loyal Hyatt customer through the years with my extensive traveling. But I was very disappointed with this particular one. The only good thing about this hotel was its location, which is right on the river front. But does that mean they can really charge $150 more than the hotel immediately across the street? The room was big i'll give them that, but didn't have any of the necessary amenities. No microwave, No fridgerator, Very High Priced room service, and even Higher Priced Parking fees per day. They said room with a view, ha! Turned out it was an inside room with a view of the lobby. Over all I was not impressed with this facility.
Upscale hotel's comfortable rooms and modern business facilities appeal to both business and leisure travelers..
Soon after the first Hyatt hotel opened in Los Angeles in 1957, Hyatt hotels and resorts became known for their dramatic atrium lobbies and their ability to express local flavor. Rooms feature beds with Sealy brand mattresses and down comforters, flat-screen TVs with cable access, wireless Internet, iPod-adaptable alarm clock/radios, Starbucks coffee and Portico bath products. Travelers enjoy the convenience of hotel and airline check-in kiosks, fitness facilities, multiple business centers and ample meeting spaces.
Best Location, that is about it. Location, Location, Location....That is about all I can say about the Hyatt Regency in Savannah. If you like to be in the middle of the action and able to walk anywhere in the Historic District, then I would suggest the Hyatt. To sum it up, it is a hotel that was probably built in the 70s/80s with a horrible facade and sticks out like a sore thumb in the midst of all of the other hotels around it that might be new but match the architecture of Historic Savannah. The hotel in itself is nothing special at all. My room was clean and the furniture and bedding were nice, but the room and bathroom were nothing I couldn't get at a Days Inn. In fact, take away the nice counter top in the bathroom and I would say I was staying in a Days Inn. This is not up to standard with other Hyatt's I have stayed at, but if you don't mind paying for a great location, then this might be your place. The staff was friendly, but they weren't very helpful when I had questions. I would recommend the Marriott down the street if you are looking for a top tier hotel with the quality you would expect, I have stayed there and loved it. I would definitely stay here at the Hyatt again, but the price would have to be right, otherwise I would stay down the street and get more for my money.
Dirty but convenient. It's a shame that it's so convenient, because the hotel itself does not live up to the Hyatt standard. You couldn't walk in your room without shoes because your feet got dirty. Hateful staff and discourteous. Won't stay again.
