the total savannah experience.
I recently attended a conference in Savannah and my group staid at the Mansion. The hotel is so unique and beautifully set on Forsyth Park. We have staid downtown before and I felt like a tourist. The hotel is walking distance to all the shopping/dining but not in the middle. The park was filled with what I suppose were students from SCAD painting and playing a lil soccer. Families were having picnics and the children were running through water fountains. The most beautiful park I have ever seen. We ate at 700 Drayton for lunch and dinner. The food was better than the other restaurants outside of the hotel and the price was very affordable. The chef even came out and spoke to us about our stay and the meal. It was a great pleasure to be so taken care of. I will be back!!

Bite size Bing for you Buck.
We held a large meeting at the Mansion, filling close to fifty rooms. The cozy hotels suites are full of flair and character. The location leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the shopping and food venues are a good walk away. Before you rent a car consider the 19.00 a night valet fee. The spa service is fantastic and the facilites are more relaxing than the small outdoor pool. Not as much can be said for the service overall. The planning staff was of little assistance. The hotel provided a charter bus without a.c. Our group is not use to the humidity, so it took a while to recover from that one. We waited hours for a simple pillow and blanket then they tacked on a hefty fee. The staff was unable to attend to the rooms and change the bedding until late in the evening. Beware you will be paying for a four star Island hotel without the perks. Lunch for three can easily run you one hundred dollars. With fees taxes and gratuity this hotel is out of its league.
