VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WILL NOT RECOMMEND: My son was having a destination wedding. We went to Color Box and had both trials for hair and makeup. One of my questions was do you use eye lashes? "They did not have them but I was told if you bring them with you we will put them in" The day of the wedding when I was doing my makeup I was told they do not put in the eye lashes. My next question the day of the trial was how many people will Marie be doing that day? "only the mother of the bride, the bride and yourself" My appointment was at 12:30 I left at 5:20 because they had schedule more then what they could handle. The wedding was at 6:00PM, I was dropped off by the owner in front of the lobby with the trolleys waiting and all the guest dressed up and in the hotel lobby waiting to board the trolleys. I was so embarrassed. The wedding ceremony was late as I had to get dressed and drive to the church. Therefore as a result the cocktail hour was only about half an hour due to their failure to comply.

DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR SPECIAL EVENT.

Love does not even begin to describe how I feel about my new hair. After a tragedy with my "go-to" stylist I had to find a new one. Two years, several bad cuts and color jobs later I have found THE one! lol! Everyone is so laid back and Liz was great! She told me step by step what she was doing as she was doing it and held the perfect amount of conversation. You could tell she loves what she is doing and is very good at it. Thanks so much Liz and Color Boxx, you have a client for life! As an added note, I will say it is a little on the pricier side of high end salons. Just remember, you get what you pay for, Color Boxx and Liz are worth every single cent!

I have been getting my hair cut and colored at Colorboxx for over a year now and I'm so grateful to have finally found my salon home. To start, the staff is super friendly and laid back. There's plenty to talk about but no one pushes if I just feel like sitting back with a magazine. More importantly, the service is top-notch. My hair color has never been better, with careful attention given to my seasonal moods and recommendations offered for my skin tone, hair health, etc. The cuts I've received to my long hair are stylish and clean, again, with spot-on recommendations offered for my face and body shape.

Lastly, the space itself is really welcoming and warm. They're conveniently located on Broughton Street, with free on-street parking. And it's perfect if you want to do any shopping or grab some lunch before/after your appointment. They're upstairs in an historic storefront so there's plenty of natural light and charm while you're in the chair. They have a great selection of product and fun special holiday events, too. My best days are the days I "get my hair did" at Colorboxx.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE Nikki and Color Boxx! I am from NY and moved to the area almost 2 years ago. I was flying back to NY just to get my hair done because I could not find a stylist down here who came even close to my old one. Well, that became too expensive and I continued my search for the perfect stylist. After several visits to a salon in Bluffton, SC and horrible cuts and color/highlight nightmares, I decided to do my homework and I am SO glad I did!

When I called for an appt., I spoke with Nikki. She even contacted my stylist in NY to get some background information!!! How cool is that?!!

I had my appt. with Nikki yesterday and she was amazing! She spent an hour with me just consulting and getting to know me and my hair. As she was working on my hair, she told me exactly what she was doing as she was doing it! There were no suprises and I was completely at ease and trusted her 100%! My hair is gorgeous! You would never know that it was completely destroyed by the 'other' stylists I was going to. The entire staff is so welcoming as well. I LOVE Nikki and now I LOVE my hair again :)

COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED!!. My stylist STEPHANIE....WOW, what a miracle worker!! I am NOT exaggerating. My hair was a frizzy lifeless damaged mess! About a year ago I had gone to another salon requesting natural looking highlights on my light brown hair. What I got was white/silver horrible highlights (actually it was more solid color than highlighted) my hair was doubled processed; I had sat under a heat lamp for nearly an hour with BLEACH …so you get the visual. The cut was a haphazard chop job …needless to say a 1980’s bleached blonde frizzy frumpy nightmare!! So, as you can imagine I was soooooo disappointed that I had not stepped into a salon for a year….not even for a trim, so you get the idea the condition it as in!

Stephanie transformed my hair into something I couldn’t have expected ever having again!!! I went from dry frizzy shapeless hair, devoid of any style to………long…silky… shiny healthy beautiful hair…hair like I had as a child…with natural looking sun kissed highlights that look absolutely gorgeous! And of course a precision hair cut that gives it oomph and bounce!

It is so beautiful even my husband loves it! It was funny because he sent me a text, as I was sitting in chair saying “good luck” this time hope it turns out well! He was so happy to see me walk through the door smiling...not crying. I simply couldn’t go without recommending Stephanie she really did pull off a miracle. P.S this is a completely unbiased review…I am not a friend, or a cousin…etc…just ONE SERIOUSLY HAPPY CLIENT! Tell her Cheryl recommended you …? the one who used to have FRIED FRIZZY HAIR!!

AMAZING!!!!. After recieving the worst hair cut of my life, I was a little scared to try someone new again. But I made an appointment, and when I arrived I was greeted by smiles and laughter..very welcoming. Marie took the time to listen to my situation and come up with a game plan for my hair. Talking to her was easy and fun, she understood what I wanted and gave me some great ideals. Through the process I was offered coffee and great conversations by everyone in the salon. It was so relaxing and comfortable! I have to say after Marie finished, I looked at my hair, and I cried! Tears of joy!! she did an amazing job! The cut and color took 10 yrs off my face. I felt beautiful, sexy, young, alive and ready to face anything. Marie your AMAZING!!! and Colorboxx Ill never go anywhere else again I love this place!!! It truly is the BEST salon in Savannah, and anywhere Ive ever lived before. They say you get what you pay for, well I got far more for my money! It was a great experience and I look forward to returning. Thanks so much!!! Lynn

Great Haircut. I was spending top dollar elsewhere for cuts I wasn't happy with. I decided to try Savannah's Color Boxx Hair Salon, and I'll be back for sure!

Airy second-story studio with views of the city streets below. Fabulous consult, followed by a sculpted cut that is STILL holding up weeks later. A flattering haircut FINALLY.

What a place for talent!. Had a wonderful haircut and color by Kelsey yesterday. She is the sweetest! I couldn't get in to my regular salon and was tired of same old. I came away with the silkiest hair I've ever had and deep rich, nuanced color. I had called that morning and and Kelsey got me right in. Met Nikki the owner and another extremely nice person. Congratulations on an incredible business! Thank you.

Could not be more satisfied!. I am new to Savannah, and was so lucky to find Kristen at the Color Boxx. My color and cut were perfect. I got what my stylist described as a precision cut, and it is amazing. My styling time is literally cut in half, exactly like she promised. I love the products I brought home, and the fact that they were very affordable. Kristen is amazing! Thank you!

Best Salon in Savannah. I went to Nikki for a consult because I was thinking about getting a keratin treatment for my frizzy, crazy, curly hair. She was awesome! Not only did she answer all of my questions, but she helped me choose just the right treatment and products. All the girls there are super nice and have always been very helpful. My hair is now frizz free, super soft, and adorably straight. I'll be going back to The Color Boxx for all my hair needs!!
