Always Enjoy Our Visits. My daughter and I often visit the restaurant in the early afternoons after cheer practice and sit at either the pasta or pizza counter. The staff behind these two counters are always receptive, especially 'Cheesy' and they are part of the reason we continue to return. The food is always excellent, especially the soups.
Fail. One should only eat here if willing to contribute financially to an owner/corporation that condones the verbal abuse and harassment of employees, mainly females, and participates in the racial profiling of tables. As a customer, I have seen the owner, Chuck, label a female employee as a "B" right in front of a table. Also, he has "cussed out" a male employee in front of a table as well, to the extent that the said table exited the restaurant. After speaking with a regular server, they told us that other employees act out in the same manner, and nothing is done to correct the problem. The food is excellent, but I don't recommend you eat here until things change on a corporate level
Great Food...Great Service. This venue seems to have more quiet ambience than the many other Carrabba's we've been to around the country. We have been to the Savannah Carrabba's three or four times. The service has always been impeccable, the food varied and excellent. There are always daily specials and they are served hot, which isn't always common, with pasta in particular. We will be in Savannah again in April, 2009, and we are booking a hotel that is a short drive from Carrabbas!
An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain..
In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.
