Worst Place Ever! Moved to Comfort Suites after several hours. We were in Savannah for a wedding and this was the hotel chosen for the out of town guests. Upon checking in, we noticed that it wasn't somewhere we would have chosen, but we decided to make the best of it since the rates were reasonable. They didn't have the Double Suite that I requested when I made my reservation, but I let it slide, although I needed the extra bed since we have three children. When we walked into the room it didn't seem too bad, but I noticed there was dried up food on the wall that housekeeping had apparently over looked and the drape in the bedroom was hanging on one side. I sent my son to the front desk to get towels and wash cloths and they said they'd send some to our room , but never did. An hour later we went back to the front desk and they gave us thin, rough, scatchy pool towels and said that all of their wash cloths were dirty. The last straw was when later that evening we found a huge insect running around. When we notified the front desk, they acted as if it were no big deal and got nasty when we said we were leaving and did not want to be charged, since we'd only been there several hours and were not satisfied. They said that they were still going to charge us for one night. When my husband requested to speak with a manager, they said he wasn't there and could not be reached and that he would be in the next morning. Since we did not want to take any unwanted insects home in our luggage we checked in another hotel at 12am, and went back the following morning at three different times never to have our issues addressed by a manager. My husbands cousin, whose room was next door to ours, had no hot water their first night and also found insects in their room, as well as a pair of child's dirty underwear, cookie crumbs and a prophylactic wrapper underneath their sofa bed. It seems as if housekeeping is slacking and so is management.
