If you have long hair, there is no one else to go to other than Lynette! You can go in confidence, trust her judgement for your color and length and leave looking fabulous! She is truly the queen of color and long hair. Thank you Lynette!

I have tried the others and this is the best I have found. I have been to those salons where they look at you like you dont belong and make you feel uncomfortable the entire time you are there , like you should have dressed like you were going out clubbing in order to walk in the door, but at island styles, it is a great atmosphere. The people are a joy to be around and as someone who has gone from having short hair to growing it out, I could not have done it without Sharon. every expierience has wonderful.

So excited!. A friend of mine recommended Island Styles to me and I am so glad I went!! They did a fantastic job on my cut and color and now have a new client! I will tell everyone I know this is the place to go!

Best cut I have ever had..... I am very picky about my hair and have a very difficult style that requires extreme precision. I have been going to Island Styles for many years now and I will not go anywhere else. No one can cut my hair the way Sharon does. She is always consistently wonderful! I love the comfort of the salon and how everyone there always makes you feel at home, unlike so many other salons in Savannah that are down right snooty. Island Styles is always very accomodating and I leave there uplifted and feeling beautiful.

Pay more money and go someplace else!. Got my hair butchered!!! It was like walking into Steel Magnolia's. It was super tiny and old fashioned. A much older woman cut my hair and I should have walked right out before talking to the woman at the counter. I asked for an inch or so cut off the length and several inches were cut off instead. Bangs??? Forget it...she didn't know how to cut them! You're NEVER supposed to cut them straight across and that's what she did...she messed them up big time and didn't even cut them straight! I have naturally wavy hair and she made me look like a poodle. Do yourself a favor...pay the extra money and go somewhere else to get a good haircut.

i drive 5 hrs to island style. i live part time in savannah now. i have tried other salons outside of savannah but always come back to sharon.sometime i look pretty ratty before i get back to sharon but i is always worth the wait

Drive 90 MINS just 2 get my HAIR DONE @ ISLAND STYLES!. i myself as a master cosmetologist & also who has worked at island styles a couple years back knows how great sharon, priscilla, and shanasy are & same with the other stylists when i come in. I swore through that no matter where i am that i would never go to anyone but sharon, and i drive all the way from Hinesville Ga now jst to get my hair done, and trust me i wouldnt have it any other way! i love my sharon!!!

Lynnette is a GEM!. I recently had the pleasure of having my hair colored and cut by Lynnette. What a gem!

She made time in her busy schedule to get me in (I was going out of town on business.) This was a Saturday, normally the shop is closed! She did a fantastic job on my color and cut. She knows her business. I had soooo many compliments.

When I returned, she cut my bangs. We had talked about a fringe, angled, feathery fun bangs. What I got was perfect. But she didn't stop there. She french braided my hair because I was going to be working outside. (I didn't ask - she is just that sweet!)

If you need a great shop. Try the jewel of the island. I don't think there is a bad stylist in the bunch!

Sharon is the best hair colorist around!. I've been going to Sharon for ten years now and her knowledge about color is fabulous! My hair always looks fantastic and she isn't afraid when I ask her to "step out of the box" when I asked for bright or different colors. When cutting my hair, she knows what style will work with the shape of my face. Sharon is all around a fantastic hair stylist.

August Alderman a hidden gem on Wilmington Island!. Back in December, after a very long and tiring week at work, I decided to treat myself to a blow out about an hour before I was to attend a Christmas party. My husband gets his hair cut by Shanassy at Island Styles, so I decided to "walk in" to see if by chance, anyone was available for a blow out. August ,with his signature mohawk and smile, greeted me and within minutes I was relaxing with a shampoo that was better than some massages I have had. I walked out an awesome blow out and something I did not expect...a peaceful, calm, soothed feeling.

Because of his endearing spirit and great blow out, I decided to come back soon after the blow out for a cut. I had been going to a salon downtown for years and had gotten tired of the time it takes to drive and park, just to get my hair done. My cut went great and once again I left feeling like I had a session of yoga or meditation.

After commenting on a coworker's gorgeous highlights and asking who her stylist was,(August Alderman, of course), I decided to give highlights another shot. I soon found out that August is as wonderful at highlights as he is at cutting. Even my mother, who has never been fond of my hair when it is highlighted commented "I like the way he did your highlights!"

August is a genius with hair and has such a warm, caring spirit. I told the owner of the salon that I felt like I have finally met my hair stylist "soul mate' when I met August!
