run forrest run. I don't know who Uncle Bubba's pays to write these reviews. These are obviosly employees, if you think I am lying you are very wrong. I am a heavy set guy that loves to eat all foods: seafood, Italian, Jamaican, American. I have visited many different restaurants across the country, Houston's, Ruth Chris, Joes etc. and the food at this restauraunt was plain and simply put... AWFUL. Not to mention the mosquitos out back, they should at least use citranella candles to ward off some of the insects. The only reason this place is still open is because of the name brand he uses, i.e Paula Deen. And let's not even talk about the prices. Even if the food had been better it is way too high for the service and portions you received. I purchased a so called "monster plate" and it was not any bigger than a regular plate at Joes Crab Shack. It is really a shame for establishments like this to exist based soley on a name when the food and service is highly in question or doesn't exist. I got my food put it in a to go box and fed the fish outside with it, it dropped all the way to the bottom of the fish pond without being touch. They must not like it either.

Very satisified.. My mother-in-law, my son and I visited Savannah last March. We visited Uncle Bubba's Oyster House four times in the six days we were there.

The food is out of this world: the shrimp, the gumbo, crab cakes, the fried chicken, and all side dishes were excellent. Not to mention the deserts: the strawberry shortcake, the key lime pie, and we sure will never forget the creme brule; it was so very, very delicious.

The prices were very afordable. And the southern hospitality was so nice; they made you very welcomed.

The surroundings were so pretty.

So, needless to say, we so enjoyed our trip to Savannah -- and most of all, our trips to Uncle Bubba's.

And, Paula, we also made it to The Lady and Sons -- would not have missed it for the world; it was also so very delicious.

We will be returning this March, and you can bet we will eat at Uncle Bubba's again.

Love and great food from your restaurant to our stomachs.

See you soon. Love from Topeka, KS.

Best Shrimp & Grits!. While visiting the Savannah area, we had dinner at Uncle Bubba's one evening. The shrimp & grits were out of this world! The best I have ever had, and, living on the coast of North Carolina, I've tried shrimp & grits at many restaurants, but, Uncle Bubba's is the best! I highly recommend that you visit this restaurant on your next trip to the Savannah area. You may have to wait in line, but, it is worth the wait. They do close at 9:00 PM so you need to arrive by 8:00 PM at the latest.

Uncle Bubba delivers.....Great Seafood!!!!. My husband and I visited Uncle Bubba's while in Savannah, April 9-12th. We ate there on Saturday night, around 5:00, there was hardly any wait. I'm glad we got there when we did because it started getting crowded around 5:30. The food was outstanding. We ordered the chargrilled oysters, they were excellent. My husband doesn't care for oysters, and he even liked them. The corn muffins were to die for......I could have made a meal of those and the coleslaw that came with my entree. My husband had the steak, he said it was one of the best he's ever had. I had the crab stuffed flounder, it was soooooooo good. The serving was so big, I couldn't finish it. We will definitely go back, the next time we are in Savannah.

yummy!. My husband and I are kind of food snobs, and I went to this restaurant with low expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is very basic and downhomey. The variety of menu offerings was good, but not great. They serve yummy cornbread with your meal. We had chargrilled oysters - the best I've ever had. We had bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp and a fried seafood platter for our entrees. Both were delicious. I have no complaints about the service. We went on a Weds evening so it was kind of dead, but it looks like the kind of place that would be really fun on the weekends--nice outside seating area with room for a band. I was pretty impressed and my husband loved it.

Fantastic food, service quality needs work. I had some of the best seafood ever at Uncle Bubbas. The service was not great, but the service at the surrounding tables was exceptional. This suggests that the quality of service needs attention. The service should be consistent no matter who your server is.

They need to establish standards of service that all servers adhere to.
