BEWARE - DO NOT TRUST THE PINK HOUSE FLORIST – DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST! I had the misfortune of picking this florist for my wedding and despite having made 2 visits to speak with the floral designer Steven and sent Betty the owner emails depicting exactly what I wanted AND calling the week of my wedding to confirm my order, they got EVERYTHING I requested wrong!!! The color of the flowers in my bouquet were wrong, the ribbon on my bouquet and the MOH bouquet was not the color I requested and was told that the "designer" made a call to change it but never thought to call and consult the bride (really!?!), the ribbon on my bouquet was frayed they literally cut a piece of ribbon and tacked it on to cover the seam but didn't fold the edges to cover the fraying (a kindergartner could have done it better); the style of the arrangement was not what I requested and I even set them pictures of EXACTLY how I wanted it to look and they STILL got it wrong; I asked for purple and white flower pedals and got cream and no purple; I ordered 25ft of flower pedals and barely had 5ft and they didn't even pull all the pedals I had 5 rose heads in the bag; I requested crystals on the roses in my bouquet and 2 roses didn't have them, the ones that did have crystals on them still had glue hanging off of them; I can go on and on about how they completely ruined the floral element of my wedding but think this should be enough information to any bride to be or even someone hoping to get a bouquet to a friend or family member to NOT use this florist. Also, I called the day of my wedding and was told there was nothing that could be done to fix the problem b/c the owner was on vacation and despite trying to reach Betty multiple times by phone & email to resolve the situation and she chooses to ignore me...Betty you're a fool!!! I can only hope that this review will prevent anyone else from wasting their money and ruining their special day with the garbage that they call floral arrangements. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A FLORIST!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THEM.
Wow what happened? – I ordered a Teleflora arrangement for my mother-in-law. I have used this florist in the past and was satisfied, and they are literally down the street from my in-law's home. I called directly so that i could make a few changes. I requested they NOT use the Lenox bowl and instead substitute more Christmas greenery and a few extra flowers. I was assured that it would be no problem at all. In thanking me, my Mom-in-law sent an email picture and I was dismayed to see an unattractive, sparse arrangement in the Lenox bowl with tacky red candles (the Teleflora ad used gold candles to compliment the gold accents on the Lenox bowl). I visited a week later and the roses were all but gone, and she had added some red mini-carnations she had purchased to fill it out! I am so incensed that there is really no point in contacting the Pink House Florist--they obviously don't care or that would never have been allowed out the door. They wouldn't give me my money back and I certainly don't want more of their "product". All I can do is caution others to perhaps look elsewhere.
Pink House Florist is the PITS! – DO NOT USE Pink House Florist! I have NEVER written a negative review online before but felt I needed to say something about this florist.
I am an event planner/fundraiser in Chicago and had my wedding in Savannah, GA on June 20, 2009. I met with Pink House staff in January 2009 and called them multiple times about my order. I had to seek out getting a contract signed with them and had a very difficult time getting helpful service when calling.
My deposit was due two weeks in advance and I called them to pay, only to find out the staff did not have an accurate record of the flowers I'd ordered and they had to update the contract and call me back. I did not receive a call about the payment so assumed I would pay when I arrived.
When I arrived in Savannah I called to make the full payment and was told the flowers I ordered weren't in season. Not in season??? I believe it's not too much to ask that a FLORIST know if and when the flowers I've ordered will be in season or not - and to tell me that when I've met with them SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE so I'd have time to redesign the decor for my reception.
On top of this, THEY DOUBLED THE PRICE THEY QUOTED ME. Let me repeat that. DOUBLED. My parents went in on my behalf to handle the situation and were met with an extremely snotty response by Bill, one of the employees there. I then showed up separately at the store and told them I was very upset that they had misrepresented what they could get AND doubled the price. In no more than 90 seconds, another associate (Jeannie), blamed the situation on:
1. I didn't pay the deposit on time (see reason above and how this affects when flowers are in season is beyond me).
2. She HAD called me but didn't leave me a message because she figured I "was getting enough voice messages from other people before the wedding" (yet somehow I was supposed to know she had tried to call me).
3. The flowers WERE actually in season but were dead upon arrival.
4. The SECOND shipment of flowers were also dead upon arrival and each shipment costs them $50.
5. The economy is bad.
Believe me, I'm just as confused as you may be reading that list of excuses. I am writing this coming not just from the point of view of being the bride, but from having planned many different types of events, working with a large array of vendors, and knowing how to get deposits in, contracts signed, and advance planning accomplished. For such an important event like a wedding, please make sure you can rest easy and do NOT use Pink House Florist.
I am happy to say that with the aid of John Wolf Florist in Savannah and a flower wholesaler, we were able to assemble makeshift arrangements, a bouquet and bouts, etc.
Please, please, please do yourself the best wedding favor you can and DO NOT USE PINK HOUSE FLORIST.
