Not so great

I took my boyfriend there for a fullbody deep tissue message before he deployed and I was to get a swedish message. We were in the couples room together. My boyfriend though the music was irratating and there was a women who did his deep tissue and he said it just felt like someone was rubbing lotion on him. I got the regular swedish message and it felt like the man was trying to kill me. Horriable service
- Cons: Service is not worth the price
Absolutely horrible experience

The Hyatt booked my wife and I at Vanilla, with specific instructions that included a request for two female massage therapists. When we got there, we couldn't dissern the entrance from adjoining Starbucks and athletic club. The place was warm and musty and it appeared very worn. Nevertheless, we checked in and waited. When our maseuses finally showed, they were a guy and a girl. When we politely asked for the two female masseuses requested and confirmed, the belligerent manager claimed the Hyatt had told them nothing, but would not let us see the order. She acted as though we were at fault, and she wasn’t in the least apologetic, sympathetic or interested in making the slightest accommodation. In short, she was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in the service industry. We just ended up walking out.
This was to be a high point of a weekend of relaxation for my wife. The whole massage and facial was to be a pleasant surprise, followed by a tour, dinner, etc. Well, it was a surprise that was far from pleasant. It ruined our day, destroyed the timing of our schedule, etc.
You'd be better off at Greenbriar (where we had a great experience) or Massage Envy(less expensive and much more professional and reliable) than going to the Vanilla Day Spa.
- Pros: Not a thing
- Cons: Rude, surly, poor location, subpar facility
