Do NOT use B Street Salon for an important event

I made an appointment to have my hair done for my wedding, even went in for a trial. The week before my wedding I called concerned about the timing for my big day. I asked that my stylist call me back - she never did, so I had to call her again at which time she assured me we where fine on time for my wedding day. The day of the wedding arrives and I sat for over an hour and a half waiting for them to do something - my hair or make-up while my bridesmaids were getting ready. Finally, they curled my hair but then another 20 minutes went by before my stylist (Laura - I think) got to me. She was SO rude, pulling and jerking my hair because she knew I was upset because I had been lied to about how long it was going to take. My hair was NOT at all what I had wanted even after showing her my picture. Please save yourself the stress and money and go elsewhere on your big day or any day for that matter. This was supposed to be the best day of my life and they put a huge damper on it by making me late to my photographs. I had to pay the photographer extra for the time he had wasted waiting around for us to get there. I have a lot of pictures of the church and the groomsmen but very few of me, my family, and bridesmaids all because B Street Salon does not value their customers and does not know how to schedule.
- Pros: NOTHING
- Cons: Unprofessional, rude, liars, poorly done work, over priced
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

I am originally from Atlanta and had a great salon there that I used to go to regularly. New to Savannah, I decided to try B Street Salon after seeing an ad in a local magazine and checking out their website (which represented the salon well, but was very misleading).
My experience at B Street was bad from start to finish. Upon entering the salon, I first noticed how dusty, dirty, and unkempt it was. There was also a smokey odor -- probably from the Mexican restaurant next door. I also noticed that the only patrons in the salon seemed to be middle-aged men and SCAD students. The usual salon demographic (mid-20s to 40 something females) must have already learned their lesson with this place ... they stayed away!!
After being escorted to a chair within the salon, I then sat for approximately 15 minutes before being greeted by my stylist. I showed her a picture I found in a magazine (which I felt was a fairly simple blond highlight job) & immediately she acted like she didn't know what to do. She then proceeded to go to the back and pull out a HAIR BOOK, and hold the hair swatches up to my head. I'm sorry, but respectable stylists do not do this!!!! You want the client to feel like they've got things under control & they know exactly what they're doing.
This should have been my queue to WALK OUT, but I decided to take a chance. After the stylist finished foiling me, I then sat for about 40 minutes without a single person checking on me or asking if I would like anything!! Just not what I'm used to...
Fast forward to the unveiling of my new color ... what a monumental disappointment. Instead of the mane of pale champagne highlights I had requested, I had golden/brassy blond color and still a lot of dark roots remaining! This was a "master stylist", and I had to wonder if this wasn't her first highlight job ever!!! I was so upset with the color, I backed out of the haircut afterwards, fearing that she would only mess my hair up even more.
Instead of trying to accomodate me somehow, the stylist just became defensive and tried to argue with me, insisting my hair was fine & exactly what I had asked for.
Unfortunately, I still ended up paying for the service. To add insult to injury, I'll have to go somewhere else (probably to my regular salon back home) to pay to have it fixed and done CORRECTLY! This place was such a disappointment. If you have high expectations for your hair, then DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
- Pros: I honestly cannot think of any.
- Cons: Overpriced, incompetent, dirty appearance of salon
