Disappointing. We came to savannah for our honeymoon and were disappointed by this "bed and breakfast." from their information online there's no real hint that it's a more commercial establishment. the breakfast, while "continental" had less variey than you would get at the fairfield inn, for twice the price. our room was very noisy and the drapes were insufficient to block light in the morning. we did have a decent view and the staff was extremely friendly. there was also very limited on site parking. we picked this inn for it's close location to river street, but next time i think we will stay in a more historic inn a few blocks away from river street.

Comfortable rooms, the best front desk staff in the city. My husband stayed here for our first vacation getaway in four years, and it was a superb experience. Sheila was on the front desk for most of our visit, and was extremely friendly. I used to live in Savannah about 20 years ago, so we knew our way around, but she helped us with making dinner reservations for a new restaurant on River Street. The Inn had a great historic feel to it, and we wound up on the first floor with a small courtyard--she informed me that they are pet friendly-we don't have pets, but I friends with small dogs who enjoy traveling with them! The guest books in the rooms are a beautiful touch, allowing visitors to share their experiences with others. the complimentary breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese are a very civilized touch. It gave us the opportunity to slow down in mid-afternoon and relax before dinner.

I don't need to rave about the city, those who have visited know how beautiful, quiet, historic, and above all friendly it is down there. Being in the hospitality industry in a large city (Atlanta) myself, I recognize the importance of taking care of your guests. The East Bay Inn does this effortlessly and passionately, and it will be a joy not only to return again, but to recommend it to everyone I know.
