This place is absolutely terrible! Firstly, there is smoking everywhere. Also the bouncers, bartenders, and other workers are extremely rude and inappropriate. They're very cheap, for instance, if you want to play pool or even just stand in the bar they make you buy a drink or they throw you out. The bar is also disgusting (smells like urine and smoke). Will never be back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

They put a $50 hold on your card when you start a tab!!!!. There were 8 of us girls out for a friend's bachelorette party and we had all started individual tabs. They have a $10 minimum to start a tab which we saw as no big deal because we planned on drinking quite a bit. BUT....and the rather larger but that was left out to all of us was...

When you start a tab there they automatically put a $50 hold on your card that doesn't go away for at least 5 days. Now wouldn't that be something to mention to your customers??? Some of the girls even paid cash at the end of the night and they still have the hold on their accounts right now. That was never mentioned with the "$10 hold" comment so we had no idea. I was the first to realize it because I happened to check my account for something the next morning so I immediately told the rest of the girls to check theirs as well...so they did and low and behold they all had it too. When we went back to find out why this happened manager was rude as hell to us and stated that "all of the bars do it" which was NOT the case because the following night we went out and asked every bartender before we started our tabs and they said "hell no"...

SO....with all of that said, if you choose to go here PAY CASH for each drink and DON'T give them your credit card!

One of the worst bars in Savannah. This place is usually crowded and has very unresponsive bartenders. They also sometimes charge a cover on busy nights. There isn't anything spectacular about this bar to make any of this reasonable either. Just go somewhere else.

Turn around and Walk out. We were told it was a fun place for a drink and a good time. We left. 1. Our tab for 6 drinks was 54 dollars. 2. The bartender was rude and more interested in making out with her girlfriend. 3. We needed towels after some drunk girl shook up her beer and sprayed it on us and everyone around her. Oh, her excuse, 'so sorry I work here'. 4. The bartender, and the actual reason me and the 4 people I was with left, the bartender just laughed. Not even an apology or an offer to help us clean off our phones or clothes.

Lets be honest, if it were 2 in the morning and we were at some wild night club, maybe, but it was 10 at night and there were maybe 20 people in the bar.

Bar Bar is the Best Best. When I lived in Savannah, some years back, I found myself in a very chilled out bar late one summer evening. I had never been there before and I was a little unsure about it. It didnt take long for me to find out how friendly the bartenders were, how unpretentious the atmosphere was, and how everyone was super friendly! I have since moved away (which makes me very sad!), but every time I make it back to Savannah I always wind up at The Bar Bar! Angela and Terri are the BEST bartenders and even though my visits have gotten few and far between they always remember what I like and remember my name (before I give them my credit card). The patrons are still unpretentious and it is the best atmosphere to go and chill. I have met some very cool people from all over the world in that bar I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this bar!

A place for every personality. You can come here what ever mood you are in. They have free pool, foosball, and board games...you can play battleship, connect four..etc. They have the best happy hour prices I've ever seen in Savannah. Not that many people know about that. There happy hour is usually from 7-9pm and I earlier on the weekends. You can dance on Thurdays - Saturdays too. Go and have fun. Week nights are great b/c it doesn't get too crowded.

Thursdays are fun...college and military get a discount with i.d.

Great Start or Awesome Finish. There's something for everyone at The Bar Bar. Whether you want to chat, play games, pose, throw back, get down or get busy - this place has it all.

Great place to start the evening off - even better to finish up because they don't throw you out @ 2:30 like every other bar in Savannah does.... they actually stay open til 3am.

If you're a Savannah Resident, you'll always see someone you know... if you're visiting, you'll see all sorts of folk - some you might like to know! Great staff and an all-round good time. The ONLY downside is that sometimes it gets crowded and you wait a bit for a drink.
