The Scene – Situated near bustling City Market, this unpretentious little bistro oozes playful sophistication in an area that can sometimes feel overrun with beer-swilling students and tipsy tourists bent on shoring up Savannah's reputation as a great place to party. The dining room is dimly lit and smartly decorated; funky modern art jazzes up exposed gray brick walls and a huge bouquet of fresh flowers graces the tiny bar. Service is chummy, knowledgeable and efficient. – – The Food – Local favorites like sautéed shrimp and tasso (cured pork) over stone-ground…
AWFUL

Poor service, room temperature food (for what was supposed to be hot), and bland flavors. 'Nuf said.
- Cons: Food, service, tables and chairs
SORRY TO SAY

Our waiter was smug and unresponsive. We ignored him and enjoyed the occasion. The restaurant is well lit and decorated with beautiful art work.;the blending of old and new was well done. The Led Zepplin music was edgy, but misplaced.(try the ECM record label next time) The salads were delicious and entrees were tasty and well presented.BUT,we all had late night and following day stomach problems. iT RUINED THE VISIT. It was too high a price to pay !!

This is NOT a tourist trap by any means & is a nice change from those that are prevalent in the historic district. No gimmics, just excellent quality food EVERY time with a great atmosphere & WONDERFUL service. I've eaten here at least a dozen times between my short time living in Savannah and every return trip. The service is always great & I too have a restaurant background and can be very critical. The servers are always well informed & very descriptive with menu & wine offerings. The changing art work is great. The service is great. One family trip to Savannah the week of the 4th of July, we were a group of 9 without a plan or a reservation. Within maybe 5 minutes, the manager opened the back private room just to accomodate us & as always everyone loved their meals. Can't say enough good about this, one of my very favorite restaurants.
- Pros: Menu variety, relaxation factor, friendly staff
- Cons: None
