Bitchy Bartender!. NEVER again!

Bitchiest bartender EVER!!!!

On Friday night, my 3 oldest, dearest friends and I went to Benny's to have some drinks and socialize. One redeeming quality about this place is that it is a mixed crowd. (We're 39/40.) Another could be that the place has karaoke (which I LOVE.) HOWEVER, there is one bartender in there (old woman, shortish grey bobbed hair, lots of makeup) who was literally ASKING for tips! Over the course of 2 hours, my friends ordered maybe 5 beers total ($15). I watched them tip her $3 in that time period. 20% for service that was slow from a bartender who was a bi*ch! When I finally did go to the bar myself, (first time of the night,) I waited 10 minutes with the woman literally shooting me dirty looks. After getting her attention I ordered two beers for $6 total; I then handed her the $6, and proceeded to dig another dollar out of my pocket for a tip! While I was doing this, she looked at me with a snide, nasty tone and expression, said, "We DO take tips!" When I told my friend the woman said this, my friend snatched the dollar back off the bar and gave it back to me!

The other bartender, an older woman with short hair and glasses, was nice and professional.

Now, I'm not sure whether they just couldn't handle the tremendous volume of people-- it was Memorial Day weekend-- or if the main bartender was just a nasty individual... but either way, I will not go back.

Furthermore, the next day, my friends and I ran into some people that had been at Benny's that night, and they also commented about how the bartender was "begging for tips." They, too, said they will not go back.

I don't know who the owner is, but that bartender is surely running away potential regulars!
