Not the best. I didn't enjoy this resturant at all. If you like all your food boiled then you'd probably enjoy it. Everything ordered at our table was tasteless. Very bland. Maybe I just like spicer food.
GREAT AND FAST SERVICE. If you're looking for fast food and fast service, or your idea of good seafood includes batter and oil, keep looking! If you're looking for good low country boil seafood and a laid back atmosphere, this place is great. Yeah, it looks like a tourist trap, but it's some really great food. Slow down, relax, and don't go in a hurry. Loved sitting out under the trees!
FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! =).
"If you want great food and a fun, casual atmosphere, this is it! I have been visiting Savannah / Tybee Island for years, and have never tried The Crab Shack because I foolishly thought it was ""touristy.""
My husband and I spent our anniversary in Savannah this past weekend, and decided to go try their crab legs. We are so glad we did! Everything about this place is fun, relaxed, and epitomizes the laid-back Tybee lifestyle. The food is fresh, crazy good, and piled high. Grab a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops, and go join in the fun!"
yeeee!!!! the crab shack! =). Always love the crab shack. Love the chowder.
Food was good!!! :). We ate outside on the deck with views of the water (not ocean). They served the food on styrofoam plates and there were trashcans in the middle of the tables, but food was good. Very good value, especially for seafood. Great place to eat!
excellent. Everything was excellent and plenty of it. Had a Great time and will go again.
loved it! =). On our first night of vacation to Tybee Island, my husband and I tried the Crab Shack. We ordered the Low Country Boil for one. It was plenty of food! The crab legs were my favorite, but my husband enjoyed the mussels the best. We will be back!
Good food!. This was my husband & I's second trip to Crab Shack. We knew our girls (12,9,4) would get a kick out of feeding the alligators so we took them here the evening we arrived on the island. We got a table outside rather than in the screened in restaurant area. Great view of the marsh but the cats were annoying. They are owned by the restaurant & there are signs not to feed them but I'm not a cat person so it was weird. We ordered the Shack Sampler for 2 (similar to Low Country Boil but also has crab legs & crawfish) and it easily fed all 5 of us! A good time was had by all!
We had so much fun at this restaurant!!. Its a huge place, you will never wait for a table their seating area seems to go on forever. The food may seem a bit pricey but we managed to spend $30 on 2 people which isn't bad for all the experience. The crab stew is out of this world!! There is an alligator lagoon with a webcam, we live out of state and were able to tell my family to go to crabshack. com and view the webcam and they could see us which was a real treat for my mom! We took so many pictures with the statues around the lagoon and bought souviners, it was so much fun!!!
Love the gators!!!. Ate here on vacation. Atmosphere is really unique with gators, cats, and outdoor seating. Everyone in my party was impressed with their food. I highly recommend the baby clam appetizer! I will definitely be returning to the Crab Shack the next time I'm at Tybee!
